La Jolla Snorkel Rentals

Everyday California’s snorkel gear rentals allow you to explore La Jolla’s vibrant coastline and diverse marine life on your own. We have masks and snorkels for adults and kids, as well as a wide array of fins to fit almost everyone (We do not have prescription snorkel masks). There is plenty of rental gear if you’re looking to take a large group on the water.

Please note that we give a safety briefing to each renter, but we do not provide snorkel lessons for rentals. If you're new to snorkeling and would like to learn how, we recommend you check out our tours first.

La Jolla Snorkel Rental Package

This option comes with everything you need: mask, snorkel, and fins for the day. You can add a wetsuit to the package as well if you're worried about being cold! Don’t worry about sizing, we have gear that fits everyone from NFL players to small children.

If you don’t need the whole package, you can rent each item separately for the day. Mask rentals are $15, fin rentals are $15, and a wetsuit rental is $10.

La Jolla Snorkel Rentals FAQ

Are there any rules or regulations?

We kayak in a Marine Protected Area, so nothing can be taken but photos. We will paddle and snorkel with sea life, and take direction from The Marine Protection Act of 1972.

How's the snorkeling in La Jolla?

Snorkeling in the La Jolla Cove and Sea Caves has been rated as one of the top snorkeling spots in California. We’re thrilled to help share San Diego’s best snorkeling spot with visitors and locals all year.

What is the age restriction?

The city of San Diego and the San Diego lifeguards have set the age requirement at 5 years and older.

Where should I park?

There is plenty of parking in the residential streets surrounding our shop where you can park all day. Do not park in the lot adjacent to our shop: we don't own it, so if you park there you run the risk of being towed. We also do not recommend parking in a 90 minute commercial zone, as you will be here longer than that and will run the risk of getting ticketed.

Where do we keep our stuff?

We have lockers available for rent (they're $6) if you want to leave your stuff behind. If you don’t want to rent a locker we recommend keeping your valuables in your car.

What if I don’t know how to swim? Will I be able to do this?

We've had tons of people who have never kayaked before and don't know how to swim that had amazing experiences. However, if your activity includes snorkeling, then by state regulations you do need to be comfortable in the water.
